Blades are sharp and make a clean cutting line. I find this item easy to use until you get to the very end. I haven't figured out the technique for getting the cutter cleanly through (and out of) the very last of the avocado membrane.Customer Review: This is a very handy item if you eat many avacados.

I saw a friend using this item and thought it was one of the handiest tools I had ever seen. And it is, as long as the avacado isn't too large or too ripe.Customer Review: Not useful enough to use

It's a great idea, but this item really didn't help me much in pitting and slicing avocados. I can still do a better job on chilled avocados, manually, with a regular knife. I think the problem with this contraption is that the round pitter too big & the slicing lines are spaced too far apart. I tend to create a bigger mess using this tool, and it doesn't seem to save me any time. Again, I think it's a great idea, but this tool just doesn't seem to have been executed all that well.Customer Review: Fun, but unnecessary kitchen gadget

Okay, does it do what it says it does...yes. However, do any of us really need this...no. After using it one time, I went back to using a sharp knife. Was a hassle to wash with the little stainless "slicers." It doesn't save me any time and it uses a lot more water to clean up. I think we can all do without this gadget.
