This extra large potato masher is over 11 inches tall, has a very comfortable handle that is easy to grip, and the mashing base is slightly curved UP on the right and left sides. This design makes mashing potatoes right in the pot very easy and efficient. The under ten dollars price is the frosting on the cake! Even larger hands (like my brothers!) can now mash vegetables comfortably. We bought two for the Holidays so everyone could help get the food on the table - one mashing the white potatoes and another mashing the sweet potatoes. (Then both of them on clean up!)
